When the Cat is Away...

Nate was out of town this weekend, so the kids and I played hard! On Friday we went to a Little Miss Spider party at the park. We made spider crafts, games, had faces painted, and snacks. Then we went to McDonald's and got Happy meals. Friday night I took the kids to Target and let Treyton pick out a toy, since his father abandoned him (he thought he was going with Nate until we dropped him off at the airport and wouldn't let Treyton get out!). He kept trying to pick the most expensive toys (of course) so he finally landed on a Planet Hero toy.

Saturday morning we woke up early and headed up to Mandi's house in Charlottesville. We picked her up and headed to the Carter Mountain Apple Orchard Festival. There, we got to look at craft booths, eat Apple Cider Donoughts, go on a hayride, and handpick delicious apples. Treyton had SO much fun. He LOVES apples and was in heaven! After that we went out to lunch with Mandi at Ci Ci's.

We finally got home and had naps and quiet times and then went to a party at Tim and Chelsey's. It was so fun. We all took a dish from a mission where our hubbies (or the wife) went on a mission. I took a trifle since Nate went to England. It was a great idea and tons of fun. And, to top it all off, it is Conference weekend and Nate's mom sent the kids conference bags with tons of games and packs and Treyton was so excited to watch conference yesterday so we could play his games. Fun weekend!

I'm so glad that you came to our little mission reunion night, even though Nate was out of town. Your trifle was extremely yummy. I feel so bad for Trey...that he thought that he was going with Nate. But it also made me laugh. At least you guys had tons of fun this weekend!

What kind of stuff was in his conference bag? Ben had absolutely no interest in sitting still for any part of it. He did have to have a time out while we were watching and ended up falling asleep watching.

I haven't been on here for so long! It looks like you've been staying busy and having fun. I'm glad you partied when Nate was here. It was fun seeing him and spending time with him. I'm sorry we didn't get the whole family!! Trey looks so big in these pictures! It's sad how fast they grow!

Sorry we caused Nate to abandon Trey. I really don't think he'd have enjoyed the traveling Friday and then again sunday. Nate probably didn't either but it was sure fun to have him here and to see them all off to priesthood meeting together. Thanks for the sacrifice all.
