School Family Picnic

Last Friday night, the kids' elementary school had a Fall Family Picnic. I was worried that I was going to have to go by myself and juggle getting food with the three little ones, but luckily Nate was able to get home in time to come! So, we headed over and ended up pulling in right as the Putnams were. Good timing! So we all went and stood in the massively long line to get our free chicken dinner (it was delicious). Then we headed outside and ate! It was pretty fun and beautiful, perfect weather. It was cute to see the little girl that has a crush on Treyton try to chase him and get his attention. He could not have been more embarrassed! It was pretty fun to watch. And, of course, he and Austin had plenty of fun wrestling. What is it about little boys that they just automatically wrestle and play fight any chance they get?! We are lucky to have avoided a broken bone this far...knock on wood.

Nate was in between rotations this weekend, so he got to spend two whole days home. The kids were in heaven! After his long morning run, he took the two oldest to do their craft at home depot. Turns out that the HD in Edmond does a big carnival event every October. They came home with all kinds of fun stuff! Then we settled down for General Conference...kind of. The kids were super excited to do their packets and listen for the key words so they could get their candy, but they would NOT be quiet!! I always feel so hypocritical getting mad at them so I can hear the prophet speak! I guess its a good thing we have the internet to watch it later, but they really were SO excited for General Conference that they just couldn't calm down. Anyways, that was our weekend in a nutshell. And we are SO excited for it to be October. Its my favorite month! So, of course, I made a little something to go along with it:

They get to move the orange "pumpkin" magnet each day to the right number and pick a piece of candy. Trey and Jayci love it and Griffey loves taking the magnet down and hiding places where we can't find!
