It's Over
Nate's third year is officially over! He had his last exam on Friday morning. How weird is that? We are now fourth year medical students. Wahoo! An end (to this stage) is in sight. His fourth year is full of electives that he got to choose. So, he will be busy doing: a rotation of board studying (followed by a celebratory week in Disney World!), an anesthesiology rotation, an emergency department rotation, a rotation in obstetric anesthesiology in Portland, Oregon (for which he had to apply and get accepted), a forensic pathology rotation, a rotation in the anatomy lab assistant teaching the first years, and a rotation doing a Rosetta Stone course in Spanish. It should be a more laid back, fun year for him. And NO, he STILL does not know what he wants to do and YES it is killing me! Everyone else has decided!! He has to decide SO soon because he needs to write a personal statement for his applications for residency. He at least had it narrowed down to basically anesthesiology and ob/gyn, but after his pediatric rotation, pediatric cardioloy is now on the list as well. UGH. He is driving me crazy! So, let's see what everyone else thinks he will/should go into! Vote on the side of the blog what ya think.

Who wants to see kids with bad hearts...and then just send them off to the thoracic butchers...I mean surgeons???
i think nate already knows what i think of him, so my vote is cast.
the word starts with a 'p'... and it isn't a pediatric cardiologist...
I have a feeling Joe will have an equally hard time narrowing it down. I am just in shock that either of them wants to be an OB. But, maybe they can set up a practice together, and we can be neighbors, and take exotic trips all the time while they are delivering babies or knocking people out.
Well I know what Luke's vote is, become a boob doctor. haha My vote if you even care is do whatever is going to make you excited to get up the next morning for. And for pete sake choose a school that is here in Arizona!!!
