We spent Halloween weekend in Buena Vista this year. (and for those of you who don't know, it really is pronounced Byooona Vista). We went up because our GREAT friends Niki and Luke Taylor were blessing their cute baby Claire, whom we had yet to see! And a bonus was we got to see the Dryden's and trick or treat in the PERFECT town for it. BV has house-lined streets, not neighborhoods. There are only 6,000 people living there, so it is nice and small and everyone joins in. Houses are decorated all out, everyone is out on their front porches to greet you, and it is just SO much fun. It feels like you stepped back in time to trick or treat.

We first stopped by the Dryden's before heading over to the SVU football game, which Luke helps coach. Coach Dryden was my softball coach and we became good friends with her family. Brent is the dentist in town. They have five kids: Ellie, Jack, Will, Sophie, and Sadie and we love them all!

We met up with Luke and Niki before Trick or Treating for dinner at a local favorite. The boys were not happy I was taking pictures.

A bunch of friends met up at the Dryden's to go trick or treating together. We walked around most of the town in a perfect Halloween misty darkess with kids and parents EVERYWHERE. It was perfect, even if Jayci was SO SO SO slow and insisted on being with me and me calling her Tinkerbell and not Jayci. See, we forgot her costume at home, but luckily Coach had a tinkerbell on hand for her. She was in heaven!
